Our Dallas-based Broadcast Fiber Solutions division is seeking a

FIBER TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER.

 

This is a key position serving both internal and external customers.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized and a good communicator.

 

Responsibilities:Assemble and QC systems for delivery to clients.  Insure accuracy of design intent, implementation and proposed system solution.  Assist Fiber Operations Manager in the determination of client requirements, including signal flow, technical questions, product recommendations etc.  Manage post sales contact with the customer on configuration issues or changes.Label and mark gear according to sales order and client requirements.  Insure that all appropriate auxiliary equipment such as patch cords, power supplies, breakouts and adapters are tested and included with the package.  Make necessary adjustments and repairs to equipment when required.  Update an electronic schedule as to the current status of engineering operations on a weekly basis.QC all returned equipment and modules on return to identify damaged equipment.  Assist Fiber operations manager in the determination of repair costs and impact on future orders. Log equipment issues by barcode to track problematic equipment.Assist as necessary in the racking and final preparation of equipment.Provide support for other Dallas operations and sales as necessary during peak periods as directed by management.Required Overtime, approximately 10-20%Travel, approximately 20%

Requirements:Electronics or Broadcast  Associates Degree 3 years experience in fieldKnowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD is a big plus
