HBO Internet Architect / Web Teamsite Administrator

Job Description:

The Internet Architect is responsible for maintaining and updating the web environment, including day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting of content, the hosting environment and assisting in web related client/IT projects. The Internet Architect must be able to identify, respond and solve problems within the areas of the Internet Technologies group area. The Internet Architect must know when to escalate problems where applicable. The Internet Architect will manage small to medium projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science desired. All candidates must have 3-5 years' experience on one or more of the following technologies:
1. Content Management System such as Teamsite or Vignette,
2. Oracle databases, an understanding at the system level and some dba experience.
3. Web 2.0 technology such as Social Network, Java, PHP, Mashup, Perl, AJAX, XML, and Flash

Applicants must have strong knowledge on Networking, DNS, security, internet and application server architecture. Applicants must have experience with Apache, Weblogic or Tomcat as well as Sun OS and/or Linux operating systems including file systems, performance analysis, tools (such as telnet, ssh and FTP), paths and permissions, and shell scripts to create or modify interfaces with applications.

This position requires good troubleshooting techniques (problem solving), analytical abilities (logic/reasoning), and systems/application analysis and project management skills. Good written and verbal communications, time management and interpersonal skills are a must.
