IT Manager

KTRK-TV, an ABC Owned Station located in Houston, TX, is seeking an IT Manager who will fit into our highly energetic and enthusiastic team.  The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in installation, maintenance, and support of Windows file, print, and email servers as well as the full suite of Windows Office products.  This individual will act as a team member in resolving troubles and providing exceptional service to all other departments throughout KTRK.  They will ideally have several years experience providing IT/Engineering support within a television facility, including support with video servers, automation systems, newsroom computer systems, and maintaining network infrastructures, as well as managing and motivating a highly talented staff.  Troubleshooting skills are a must for quick resolution in a time sensitive environment.  Previous experience in developing and maintaining operating and capital budgets is highly desirable.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to understanding users' requirements and provide training on new and ongoing operations systems to allow for peak performance.

Requirements include a degree in an Information Systems/Technology/Broadcast Engineering field and/or a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including managing a staff.  Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment are also required.  A positive attitude with the ability to work a flexible schedule, strong attention to detail and customer service are also necessary.  Solid troubleshooting and operating skills that apply to the networked Server/PC environments, including a thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking and PC functionality, standalone workstations, an Exchange server environment, and the use of an active directory environment are also required skills.  Support experience with remote access products such as dial-up, Citrix, ISDN, DSL, Broadband, Wi-Fi, etc. is required.  MCSE and CCNA certifications are a plus.  Proven project management experience preferred.
