CITY: Englewood Cliffs STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):iVillage is currently recruiting an Information Architect to take responsibility for delivering the information architecture of the solutions we develop for advertisers and the iVillage Family of Websites and will report to the iVillage Creative DirectorDesign and delivery of the information architecture of the solutions we create for advertisers iVillage Family of WebsitesDesign of information architectures appropriate to the publishing solutions we developDevelopment of wireframes, navigation schemes, taxonomies and labeling for web user interfaces.Provide technical input and assistance in creating proposals and new business development.Liaise with iVillage internal design team, IT and editorial teams.Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum four years experience in delivering information architecture to major content based web sites. Understanding of corporate logos and identities, page layout and organisation. Understanding of pure CSS design principles. Understanding of the design and testing of web based user interfaces. Ability to focus on helping users accomplish goals and complete tasks. Knowledge of relevant industry standards including accessibility standards. Understanding and designing the flow of information in, around and out of the system including content ownership issues and integration with business Processes. Understanding of principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, performance and efficiency; principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance and quality control used to ensure a product fulfils functional requirements and standards. Knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Knowledge of developments and new applications of information technology, emerging technologies and their applications to business processes, and applications and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
