MMS (Media Monitor Sites) Tech Support Specialist

Principal Accountabilities1) Determine the best MMS reference site location based on signal quality. Gain cooperation from cable companies and others to allow monitoring sites at their location.2) Negotiate rental contracts for MMS reference tower sites.3) Assemble and configure MMS reference towers.4) Test site signal, hardware and software functionality.5) Enter all site configuration and repair information in appropriate databases.6) Coordinate the shipment and installation of MMS towers.7) Analyze and resolve signal, software and/or hardware issues at remote sites. 8) Respond to and resolve incoming internal and external customer calls.9) Provide on call support during evenings and weekends.10) Review overnight collections and do ad-hoc collections for files not received.11) Check quality reports, monitor & respond to critical alert system by resolving or re-assigning problem calls. 12) Provide periodic and ad hoc reports to management as necessary.Qualifications1) Sales or customer service skills or background.2) Analog over the air and cable television signal knowledge.3) User knowledge of software applications including Access, Word, Excel, Unix, Lenux, Unified Site Support, Unified Data Collection, Focus, Remedy, EVS Viewer, Distributor Directory.4) Travel experience.5) General telecommunications knowledge6) Knowledge of EVS, Monitor Plus, SATMON, SIGMA, VMS and AP monitoring systems a plus.
