Music Librarian Assistant

Audio streams of more than 160 of CBS RADIO stations are currently available online. CBS RADIO also launched the world's first podcast programmed radio station, KYOURADIO, and offers more than 100 regularly scheduled podcasts through its news and news/talk stations. CBS Radio is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and welcomes job application from all qualified individuals.  We have openings for Music Librarian Assistant, to assist with CBS Radio’s digital media archiving project and database efforts, in a 4 to 6 week temporary assignment. These are hands-on positions and in order to be considered, candidates must have a passion for music, coupled with a strong knowledge of the music scene, artist and content around music.  We are looking for individuals with knowledge across several musical genres, but a heavy classical foundation is preferred. Candidates must be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.   Responsibilities include: Upload CD's into our system Research song information Correct any data errors Highlight preferred tracks as directed  Requirements: Strong knowledge of the music scene, artist and content around music Good understanding and knowledge in the new media online space Knowledge of computer based media systems Outstanding analytical and communication skills. Must possess creative, analytical as well as strong problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team and independently. Motivated with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, new media multi-task environment. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
