NBC Burbank has an immediate opening for a Systems Maintenance Engineer to join the Technical Operations and Productions Services Division (TOPS).

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:Diagnose analog and digital audio/video systems faults to isolate faulty devices and provide alternate work methods to prevent delay in production or on-air outagesDiagnose and repair to card/component level, all faulty audio, video, and data processing equipment involved in the recording, postproduction, and airing of state-of-the-art network programmingProvide assistance in the design and construction of new facilities as well as in training operational staff on new technologies and facilitiesQualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:Applicants must be familiar with all popular component/composite analog/digital video, videotape, and audio standardsExperience with non-linear editing systems such as AVID Symphony and audio/video servers such as Tektronix Profile is highly desirableFamiliarity with HD (high definition) video systems would also be a valuable assetQualified candidates will have experience in Information Technology with a variety of hardware and software disciplinesKnowledge of Windows networking setup and maintenance is strongly desiredThis position requires the ability to perform systems maintenance duties in a time sensitive, client driven, on-air environmentThe selected applicant will need to be self-motivated and able to perform these duties without detailed supervisionThe applicant must be able to work variable hours, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and some occasional overtime as requiredThis is a NABET represented position
