Online Coordinator, America Abroad Media



America Abroad Media, located in Washington DC, is seeking an Online Coordinator for its website maintenance and online marketing efforts.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual with strong writing skills, knowledge of the web and creative abilities to come up with innovative ways to upgrade our current website. This is a position that is developing in definition, as we are about to go through an overhaul of our current website. We need someone who knows the online world and would be able to work with a website production company to coordinate the switch from the current site to the new site, to upload content and organize the new website, to make it run smoothly and look media savvy.

In the initial overhaul period, the position would require gathering materials from our existing site (images, content, transcripts, video, etc) and editing all of our current content to make it more appealing to keyword searches.

The website overhaul will take about 3+ months. During that time, the Online Coordinator would also be responsible for pitching the radio and television content to bloggers, tracking online hits and other analytic information through Google Analytics. The Online Coordinator would also be responsible for starting up Adwords campaigns and working on several other online marketing efforts. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and very proactive.

Once the site overhaul is complete, this Online Coordinator will be the point of contact to update the website and work on creating interactive content such as travel blogs, photo galleries, and help upload transcripts, content, press releases, and staff bios. This person will also be responsible for managing an online email database.
