CITY: Englewood Cliffs, NJ STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Online Producer, Health Centers, creates and packages online content for health centers that focus on health and medical topics, ranging from women's and children's health to conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, allergies and asthma. Develops compelling, engaging, understandable, informative and up-to-date programming that increases consumer engagement.Conceives of, writes, edits, coordinates production of and builds online packages that effectively integrate content, tools, video, community, medical experts and third-party contentStays up-to-date on news and events related to medical and health topicsDevelops e-newsletters and alertsWorks with matrix teams such as design, photo, technology, video, community, sales, marketing and PRUses knowledge of health and conditions topics, combined with expertise in online health consumer behavior, as well as excellent writing and editing skills, to develop compelling and engaging online programmingWorks with research and metrics team to assess site performance, ensure proper tracking and effectively implement SEOCoordinates with internal and external content partners/sources Contributes to programming strategy for health and medical areas of the web site as well as the overall strategy for iVillage Total HealthTakes on other health-related programming as neededQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's Degree (Journalism, English, Communications)Minimum 4 years experience in an online environment in developing consumer web content, packages, video and/or other related digital multimediaMinimum 1 years of experience in using content management systems (Vignette 7 preferred); online traffic/metrics tools (Omniture preferred) to assess programming performance; use of SEO in daily programmingMinimum 1 years of experience in communicating with/reaching consumers on health-related and/or women's and lifestyle topicsEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 810273).
