Operations Manager, ArtWorks

CITY: Englewood Cliffs STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Englewood Cliffs Operations Manager will be based in New Jersey with oversight of EC Operations, the CNBC graphics creation workflow and act as a liaison between CNBC Production and the ArtWorks graphics team. The Operations Manager will work closely with the art directors, graphics coordinators, schedulers, artists and senior leaders to ensure all projects and daily requests are delivered on time. They will be responsible for establishing SOP's, leading technology changes and maintaining the facility to ensure artists workstations meet standards. The Operations Manager must work efficiently in a fast-paced 24/7 news environment and be flexible with their schedule. Essential Functions:Create and ensure compliance to workflow SOP's.Partner with engineering to deliver technology rollouts and maintenance.Manage projects for to ensure they are delivered on time.Partner with Art Directors to establish equitable distribution of work across all artists.Build and maintain relationships with editorial staff, alerting them to any and all graphic updates/changes. Anticipate editorial needs i.e.: graphics packages for any major upcoming stories Work with graphics coordinators to ensure fulfillment of orders and communication with the clients.Manage the media management functions in ArtBox, Producer Library and storage systems.Partner with Finance to create budget reports to manage OT and Headcount.Oversee scheduling of CNBC Artists.Manage the EC Deko Operations.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degreeMinimum 5 years of experience in the following:Directly supervising employees and/or providing project management over a team of employeesEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 812941)Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and New York, NYMust be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation.Desired:Working in a media operations organizationWorking in a deadline driven graphics and/or news environmentExcellent process management skills Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment Highly organized and able to budget his/her time Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with many different individuals and personalities Ability to handle multiple priorities Editorial and Project Management experience is a plus.General:NBC Universal Media Works aligns four major media disciplines: Technology, Operations, Software Solutions and Corporate Support.
