Operations Supervisor

CITY: Englewood Cliffs STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Operations Supervisor will work with a driven and highly motivated team to support the on-air operations of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.The Operations Supervisor at NBC Universal (NBCU) will also be responsible for all aspects of maintaining and ensuring the reliability of all NBCU Network Origination Center channels.

The responsibilities of this position include (and are not limited to): Stimulating out of the box thinking, while supervising On-Air cable operations for 18 + Networks (including 22+ distribution channels) Continuing to exceed expectations in on-air reliability and customer service for all NOC clientele Managing and maintaining five multiplexed network distribution streams Facilitating day of air issue resolution between all NBCU departments (including Sales, Traffic, Sports, News, Programming, and Promotions)Acting as stimulus to business functional leaders in coordinating daily schedules and broadcast operation Ensuring reliability of on-air schedules in a fast paced environment Leading breakthrough improvements in process and operation utilizing Six Sigma methodology and toolsQualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:Minimum (5) yrs experience in an On-air broadcast environment Require strong computer, communication, and facilitation skills
