Output Producer

AL JAZEERA ENGLISH has an opening for an OUTPUT PRODUCER at its Washington Broadcast Centre. This is a position within a busy newsroom – the Washington Broadcast Centre is responsible for all breaking news in the Americas, as well as a daily output of four half-hour, live news bulletins.

The primary focus of the OUTPUT PRODUCER is getting the shows to air – writing engaging scripts, editing dramatic video and coordinating live remotes. There will also be opportunity for travel on assignments in the field.

The successful candidate will be an avid consumer and researcher of all news from all sources with superior writing skills and be well organized and multi-task-oriented. All applicants must have the ability to assemble news packages and scripts under deadline and to exercise creative use of graphics.
