Production Attorney - Universal Pictures - Legal Affairs

CITY: Universal City STATE: CaliforniaCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):This attorney will be responsible for negotiating and drafting acquisition, financing/tax, development, production and distribution agreements. Other responsibilities will include handling all legal matters during the course of production, including evaluating rights/chain of title issues, clearance matters, guild issues, advertising, promotion and publicity issues.Qualifications/Requirements:Basic Qualifications:Must be a member of the California State Bar.Five or more years of experience as a transactional attorney at a major motion picture company or major entertainment law firm with emphasis in the areas of motion picture production, financing/tax, distribution and acquisition arrangements.A strong background in copyright law, both US and foreign and intellectual property matters is required.Eligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 756707 ).
