Genesis Networks, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in New York, NY.

Our clients are among the top broadcasters in the US, Europe, Canada and Asia; such as ESPN, BBC News, ZeeTV, France2 (French Television) and BSKYB.

 

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for

· Overseeing all aspects of a project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes

· Co-ordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project

 

Responsibilities

· Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

· Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

· Review all deliverables prepared by team before passing to client

· Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards

· Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures

· Minimize exposure and risk on project

· Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

· Manage clients’ expectations and adhere to contracted due dates

 

Requirements

  Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 5 years working experience desired within the Broadcast Video Transmission field and/or Telecommunications environment with a firm understanding of the telecommunications industry

· Certified Project Managers preferred

· Specific focus on circuit tracking, equipment installations and roll-out scheduling required

· Previous work related experience with Telco field staff regarding installation of POTS Lines, DS3's, OC3's (SONET), Ethernet, etc

· Previous work related experience with Broadcast Integration systems, field installation technicians and general operations scheduling a plus

 

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Excellent ability to work well and interact with others

· Computer skills, Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project (or equal Project Management)

· Demonstrated ability to expand own skills

· Ability to take and follow instructions

· Solid organizational and time management skills
