Project Manager, Operations Management Systems
CITY: New York STATE: New YorkCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):The Program Manager will be responsible for the management of new and existing projects within the NBCU Production Technology Group. This individual will report to the Director, Scheduling & Operations Systems and assist in strategic planning and implementation of the solutions. Responsibilities Include (and are not limited to) : Coordinating planning efforts with the Business Analysts, Quality Control, Project Management and Operations departments Performing all tasks related to the Application Software Development Lifecycle Providing management with status reports, current and future resource allocations. Creating standards for technical documentation and ensures that NBC IT standards are maintained. Reviewing specifications to support the application, design, coding and testing of systems. Analyzing changes to system application software Maintaining security and changing control procedures for promotion of application changes or enhancements to production systems. Working with key business leads, subject matter experts (SME), developers and management to determine functional requirements. Creating project plans, scoping documents and client correspondence. Communicating weekly project progress report outs to team and department manager(s). Providing documentation to support our product development and product operations processes; i.e. software user manuals, use cases, requirements documents, process flow diagramming and description, implementation & roll-out manuals, release notes, online help & error messages, policy & procedure documents, training materials, test scripts and executive status reports. Participating in the change management process for documents within the TGLP Lifecycle to maintain documentation accuracy Providing L2 & L3 support for systems and applications Providing End-user Support Providing Budget Planning and TrackingQualifications/Requirements: Minimum 3 years working knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle based systems Minimum 4 years of experience with IIS, JBOSS 4+, XML, API Minimum 3 years LAN/WAN knowledge Minimum 1 year experience working with Microsoft Project BS/MS or equivalent and minimum 5 years of combined experience in application development, project management and technical writingEligibility Requirements:Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through nbcunicareers.com to be considered (Job Number: 810568). Green Belt Certification A quick study to become familiar with customer area of operations Experience with Six Sigma, LEAN Methodologies, SD Rup Working experience working within a software development group Windows Mobile 5 IBM, Rational Tools, Mercury, ITG Tools experience Good Troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and technical skills, coupled with the ability to lead mission critical projects across a large enterprise.
