QA Analyst Intern

Our dynamic and growing company is looking for a QA Analyst Intern for our Quality Assurance team.  This position will be responsible for software testing (primarily web and video applications) and work closely with managers and software developers. This position will contribute to a small, busy QA team.

Note: This is NOT a Software Developer position.  

Responsibilities

o  Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases/scripts to meet testing requirements and other quality assurance considerations.  

o  Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as in groups and function well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

o  Create specifications for test data/test environment; configure/setup test environments.

o  Utilize defect tracking system and bug reports.

o  Support and provide value added inputs in evolving QA team, including improving processes, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

o  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

o  Ability to work independently and as a member of both local and remote teams.

o  Ability to accurately identify and communicate bugs and systems enhancements.

o  Ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

o  Strategic-thinker, self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.

o  Strong oral and written communication skills

o  Must be a quick learner.

o  Experience with setup/configuration and Administration of Windows 2000/XP/2003 is a plus.

o  Experience using video capture devices is a plus.

The rate will be $10 - $15 an hour and you will probably work for about 40 hours each week.  Initially, we need someone for one month but there is a possibility it might become a regular full-time position.
