Position Description:

Responsibilities Closely monitoring Discovery Networks’ ratings and demographic performance with focus on Green utilizing Nielsen Media Research systems and syndicated reports. Interaction with all levels in response to client specific requests while supporting Director and Sales Research Management with more detailed research analyses. Written sales support materials and positioning pieces highlighting Discovery Networks versus competition. Develop sales positioning one-sheets and presentations to sales staff. Maintain the estimates and projections in Rate Card.Requirements:* 4+ years in Media/Ad Sales Research at a cable network or similar national media outlet.* Applicant must be detailed oriented, have strong written and oral communication skills and attentive to detail.* Hands on experience with various media systems and syndicated reports required (Nielsen NPower, MarketBreaks, StarMedia, MRI, Simmons, Monroe Mendelsohn etc.).* Ability to learn new software quickly essential.* Strong PC experience with Advanced Excel (including macros), PowerPoint and Word mandatory.* Must have the legal right to work in United States.
