Research Manager

Job Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities

- Analysis of VERSUS audience. Create presentations, analyses, and one-sheets highlighting key points of network viewership and trends to assist in programming, scheduling, marketing and sales.
- Creating estimates. Will be responsible for developing estimates for sales group (upfront, scatter, long-term planning), programming (potential acquisitions) and finance (budget planning).
- Support marketing by creating key highlights of VERSUS national and local market audience for the press, trade ads, and local cable operators.
- Supervise the Research Analyst.
- Oversee the release of ratings and additional research materials to the company.
- Work closely with Nielsen in regard to audience measurement issues, program names, and custom analysis.
- Develop solid working relationships with all research vendors.
- Oversee daily research requests and special projects from all departments within the company.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements: Job-related Education/Skills/Experience:

- 4-5 years research experience with national cable or broadcast network preferred.
- Strong analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- High proficiency in Nielsen systems (Npower, Marketbreaks, Navigator, Myevents, Sportsquest, NetRatings), MRI, Simmons and familiarity with Star Trak system a plus.
- A strong interest in sports, with a solid background in sports research required.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be a team player and detail oriented.
