SAP Finance Business Developer / 7208

Position Description:

Responsibilities: 1. Provide ongoing production support and system enhancements to SAP FI/CO users worldwide for all financial accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash management.2. Manage end user calls for how-to?s, issue resolution and new development (enhancements) for the global business community3. Provide functional support for SAP FI/CO, specifically for accounting operations, by being the main liaison between business users and technical support teams to identify, analyze and translate needs into business specifications4. Outline potential solutions and business impacts to address change requests; prototype and demonstrate new functionality5. Develop and deploy new processes and configuration to meet business needs6. Resolve simple and complex application and system problems (includes configuration)7. SAP OSS research for application bugs8. Enforce corporate standards and best practices in use of applications9. Escalation management of support issues and customer monitoring10. Perform global regression testing for system upgrades and changes11. Assist in unit and integration testing for change requests, enhancements and new development12. Develop training materials and assist with business community trainingRequirements: * Four-year college degree and substantial work experience; advanced degree/CPA is a plus* Extensive knowledge and configuration experience with SAP FI/CO modules; candidate will need at least 3 to 5 years of SAP experience with AP, AR and GL. * Finance / Accounting experience of 1 to 3 years is highly desirable, Media experience is a plus.* Involved in at least one full SAP lifecycle implementation of financial accounting with a strong understanding of project implementation methodology.* Experience with 1099 and 1042 preparation, filing and data analysis support; understanding of international VAT rules and configuration is a definite plus.* Expertise in controlling, treasury and asset management is a plus* Basic knowledge and development of reports related to the SAP FI/CO modules; experience in report development (report painter, SAP query and/or BW) is preferred* Considerable experience with production support; international experience is a plus* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with different levels within the organization * Ability to work well in a collaborative, team oriented environment; multi-task, be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem solving skills* Proficient in MS office * Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
