Position Overview
Solicits new business primarily in the corporate meeting planner and state association markets. Seeks meeting venues i.e. extended service hotels, country clubs, and conference centers. Travels within assigned territory and has extensive customer contact and memberships in related professional associations such as MPI and NACE.
Key Job Responsibilities (Weight %)
New Business 55%
Solicit new business for Event Services through consultative sales by targeting corporate, state associations, and meeting planners and creating professional bids and proposals. Solicit new business for Event Services by contacting PSAV clients that have had large, positive events in hotels.
Relationship Management (20%)
Cultivate relationships and activate memberships with key industry organization such as MPI and NACE. Target and develop potential meeting venues and maintain an on going relationship, acting as a liaison with the company.
Marketing (15%)
Coordinate marketing endeavors through out assigned area raising the profile of PSAV within the market place.
Customer Service (10%)
Meets clients needs through attending pre-conference meetings, maintaining organized show files, responding to client''s concerns, questions and issues.Required Skills
Minimum of a High School diploma. BS/BA in Business preferred.Minimum 2 years event technology (audiovisual), sales or hospitality experience. Prior sales experience in event technology preferred.Demonstrated excellent customer relationship management skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes required in addition to the ability to read and decipher financial reports and records.Computer proficiency required including MS Office and CAD software, prefer Lynx and Oracle knowledge.Required ExperienceSee Job Description
