Position Description: Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain thorough business knowledge of source data in Enterprise Data Warehouse. Perform source target mapping in support of report and warehouse technical designs. Implement business driven requirements using ETL tool of choice (Informatica). Work closely with cross functional business and business intelligence teams to document ETL requirements and turn those requirements into ETL jobs. Conduct ETL performance tuning, troubleshooting, support, and capacity estimation. Develop, adhere to, and be a proponent for Data Warehouse development standards including ETL standards and best practices. Work with Business Intelligence Analyst and project teams to understand analysis and reporting requirements and ensure that their work product meets those user needs. Assist in the technical support of the BI environment including Hyperion, Informatica and Crystal Reports. May include technical support to the BI team, as well as end-user support with understanding the data available in the warehouse and marts. Create and maintain logical data maps identifying information linkages between critical operational systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Maintain a thorough understanding of the business processes, ETL processes; identify efficiencies and needed controls to fine-tune the ETL operation. Maintain a thorough understanding of data governance requirements and be able to translate them into specific controls and tests. Design, plan, and implement test strategies for the data controls component of the ETL process. Participate in providing reports and ad-hoc information to business users regarding the quality and movement of data during the ETL process. Compliance to XM's SOX Control policy for all phases of change management in the BI and ETL processes. Provide documentation for all developed ETL processes including process flow and data mapping. Act as a liaison between various business units and technology. Perform Project Management of assigned projects or tasks. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience BS/BA Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Must have legal right to work in the United States 6+ years SDLC experience within an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment is preferred. 3+ years of hands-on ETL experience is required. 2-5+ years of experience in SQL skills (Oracle PL/SQL or MS T/SQL) is required. 2-5+ years of experience in stored procedure programming is preferred. 6+ months experience with Informatica ETL development and administration is preferred. 6+ months experience with a BI tool (implementation, reporting, and administration) such as Cognos, BusinessObjects, Brio, or Crystal is preferred. Data Quality and Profiling exposure is a plus. Understanding of XML and XML Schema/XSD, real-time ETL, web services, or WSDL is preferred. Solid analytical and communication skills are required.
