Sr. Accountant - International

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. seeks a Sr. Accountant – International for the Finance & Planning department. The position will oversee the Digital international licensing accounting, and provide guidance on international accounting matters. The position will be instrumental in developing and implementing processes, procedures, reporting tools and providing input related to financial systems development to support international accounting and international licensee functions. The role will be responsible for licensee statement reporting, payment application, receivable management, contract compliance and management reporting on global deals executed in the US as well as local territory deals executed in the US. The digital licensee function is estimated to have over 35 licensees by 2010. The role will liaison with all relevant partners (licensees, territories, treasury, legal, and digital departments). The role will support licensee audits and tax requests. The role will provide guidance on affiliate territory international accounting matters including but not limited to Balance Sheet and P&L reporting, Minimum Guarantee accounting, management fee accounting, intercompany accounting, Foreign Exchange gain/loss impact, and related GL account reconciliations. The role will support the financial close (monthly and quarterly) and consolidations processes. This includes financial statement review of foreign territories, by title review of foreign territories, variance analysis, FRB schedule preparation, and footnotes. The role will be responsible for preparation of journal entries, cash clearing entries, revenue accruals and other postings. The role will assist with other projects as assigned by management including accounting and reporting for Global EST and IVOD customers.

Requirements
BA/BS degree in Accounting required. CPA certification a plus. 5-7 years. International Accounting & foreign exchange experience required. Experience working with international territories or licensees required. Heavy SAP and BW accounting experience preferred; ability to research variances and develop ad hoc queries preferred. Advanced Excel skills preferred

Ability to handle multiple tasks. Must be team-oriented
