The position's initial responsibilities will include:

==> Working with the production schedule for music publications

==> Reviewing submissions for possible publication

==> Maintaining database of product, contract, and royalty information

==> Working with composers and editorial staff

==> General editorial duties with music publications

This position is ideal for someone who:

==> Is interested in learning the music publishing business

==> Has a degree or extensive training in music (especially choral and keyboard)

==> Likes having a lot to do and takes pride in getting it done

==> Has a broad range of computer skills

==> Has a strong command of the English language.

 

Prior experience is not necessary. The initial salary will be $32,000. Second-round candidates will be given tests for verbal, quantitative, editorial, and analytical skills as well as a job-fit analysis.
