Statistician, Marketing and Business Analytics

Our innovations have led to four Emmy® Awards and hundreds of filings for US patents as we introduce must-have technologies into the TV viewing experience.   Thanks to the abilities and innovative thinking of our workforce of more than 6,000 employees, we're staying competitive in a rapidly changing industry. Will provide advanced profiling, segmentation and predictive modeling support for internal customers including Retention, Loyalty and Acquisition Marketing, Customer Service and Sales. In addition, will provide statistical and analytic support for subscriber churn, programming package migration and customer profiles.  Specific duties include extracting, compiling and summarizing large volumes of data into useable information utilizing SAS and SPSS, building predictive models to assist in campaign list selection and tracking, analyzing and interpreting trends in data in order to provide relevant conclusions and recommendations to management.  Will partner with various cross functional groups to review primary market research information, understand changes in the competitive landscape and the potential effects on subscribers.Requires five or more years hands-on experience and/or educational background in mining large volumes of data into actionable, predictive and accurate information.  Must have an in-depth knowledge of statistics and significant experience utilizing SAS and/or SPSS and accessing data from Oracle, SQL Server and Microsoft Access.  Previous experience with telecommunications and/or subscription based services and an advanced degree in statistics, math or business is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast paced small team environment.  In addition, excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, presentation and organizational skills are required.
