Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Marketing Services

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Marketing Services for the WB Procurement Group department. Position will apply various types of financial analyses to address Strategic Procurement challenges. Conceives and develops complex analytical & pricing models. Leverages Business Warehouse Global Procurement Solution (BWGPS) during opportunity assessment to determine baseline spend and associated costs. Develop detailed analyses of financial statements and business unit cost structures. Assess various paradigms to look at financial/analytical problems in new ways. Conduct Analysis of market conditions to proactively manage marketplace & develop project plans to address issues. Obtains relevant information for developing new commodity strategies, considers the entire supply chain, relevant information and economic considerations. Compiles and synthesize both business requirements and external market conditions to develop optimal commodity strategy with full understanding of potential shortfalls and risk mitigation plans. Develops and compiles required Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) to facilitate development of sourcing strategy. Develops commodity strategy recommendations in a concise and persuasive fashion and leads implementation of sourcing strategy (sole source or short-list negotiations, leverage added scope, competitive bidding, eSourcing tools, catalogs, reverse auctions, etc.). Partner with Supplier Diversity efforts to creatively include MWBE in supplier selection process and to expand MWBE spend. Leads environmental friendly purchase efforts to support WB's Environmental Purchase Guidelines. Uses depth of knowledge of supplier to gain unique insight, not obvious or widely held, to improve WB's competitive advantage. Conducts comprehensive supplier analysis (strategic direction, financial health/risk due diligence, market position, power within industry, capabilities & capacity, risk assessment). Develops and implements complex supplier development programs that cut across multiple business divisions and/or regions. Identifies key performance indicators (perfect order, growth drivers, production constraints, investment strategies) to drive business value for both parties and to seek out and find emerging business improvement opportunities. Leverages contract management tool to drive best total value realization after contract execution for the business. Fully utilize category teams to infuse market/ commodity and supplier specific knowledge to enable solid decision making in early stages of projects. Partner with stakeholders for upstream supply chain/ supply source identification to ensure business requirements are met for current as well as future needs. Has the necessary business acumen to be thoroughly conversant in the intent and rationale behind contract provisions from a business as well as legal perspective, and acts as a liaison between the contracting parties, WB Legal, and Strategic Procurement management. Creates a vision of the “best case” for TW/WB and negotiates supply agreements which achieve this goal while maintaining desired supplier relationships. Consistently updates contract provisions to reflect changing internal requirements. Ensures that others within area of responsibility (or outside if appropriate) are following delegation guidelines. Assist in the development of negotiation strategies, contract analyses, and sourcing communications and meetings. Recognizes differences in requirements and strategies across business units and coaches others to use that understanding to optimize TW/ WB protection/advantages. Develops and implements simplified processes which facilitate timely, effective contracts (makes it easy to do the right thing). Prepares written reports and presentations on contract administration activities for management within WBPG. Views new and existing opportunities from different angles to identify fresh and original ways of tapping those opportunities to get maximum return. Leverages skills to identify refinements and improvements to Sourcing & Procurement related systems functionality and applications. Demonstrates intimate knowledge of various Sourcing & Procurement related technologies and can articulate how those technologies can improve the way we source and procure. Possesses thorough knowledge of WB SAP procure-to-pay process to facilitate development of optimum SAP procure-to-pay processes associated with implemented sourcing strategies. Identifies new high volume low dollar transaction opportunities that can more effectively be reconciled and paid through Pcard. Collaborate with Manager to identify and implement large scale projects. Identifies opportunities where project management expertise needs to be implemented and works to ensure that those involved in key projects are managing them optimally. Demonstrates consistent success in meeting or exceeding goals, timelines, and expectations for multiple projects that may be occurring simultaneously. Demonstrates ability to deliver professional and effective communications, verbally or in writing through presentations that are persuasive, which results in positive impact on the business. Promotes and maintains the professional communication standards of WBPG to those outside of the organization. Partners with management across franchises to expand the role/presence of WBPG. Demonstrates and practices a high degree of professional integrity and ethical responsibility in all business activities.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Economics, Other) or Financial Marketing required. MBA, CPM preferred. 2-3 years work experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Logistics or other relevant discipline. Entertainment industry experience preferred. Consulting experience preferred. ERP Systems; SAP or Oracle. eProcurement Systems: Ariba or other. Software: Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency in developing complex RFPs and conducting complex bid and spend analysis. Application of Strategic Sourcing best practices. Cross-Function & Cross-Divisional collaboration & understanding is essential. Initiative; self-motivated, works independently with minimal direction. Relationship Building; gaining trust, service orientation, customer focus. Planning & Organization; strong project leader, emphasis on execution, multi-tasking & managing multiple priorities. Communication; Clear, concise communicator with attention to detail, ability to translate complex messages into commonly understood terms. Influencing others; without authority, persuasion, ability to see multiple perspectives. Must be able to maintain confidential information.
