Technical Maintenance Engineer

The Technical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, installation and repair of television broadcast systems, equipment and components. Primary duties include analyzing and solving technical and operational problems and implementing solutions. This position provides technical support for the Network Operations Center and works closely with the operations staff on system design and configuration. 

 

Requirements:

· Associates degree in electrical engineering, communications or technical equivalent.

· Two years formal training in electronics and/or broadcast systems maintenance or equivalent work experience.

· Two years experience with electronic component level repair.

· Technical proficiency in broadcast network or multi-channel cable system maintenance.

· Working knowledge of television signal measurement equipment for Phase Alternating Line (PAL) and National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) television standards, preferably serial digital video (SMPTE 259M).

· Ability to work independently under general supervision.

· Strong problem solving abilities.
