CITY: Burbank STATE: CaliforniaCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):SUMMARYThis position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and will be involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This new position was created to provide localized support to the increased concentration and complexity of Telemundo operations in Los Angeles. Initially, the HR Manager will have responsibility for a key client group within the stations or network operations, in addition to key HR process spanning multiple organizations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides complete employee relations support to assigned client group, including executing communications strategy, coaching management on advancing Employer of Choice initiatives, responding to employee requests, and providing conflict management support to employees and managers alike.Supports HR Director on key HR processes such as performance management, GE Opinion Survey, and talent recruitment, retention and development.Works with HR Coordinator in the development and advancement of early career pipeline development, including Internship Program and University partnerships. Continually updates job knowledge, promotes and enhances department's and organization's reputation, identifies emerging human resource issues, develops and recommends policies or procedures, and implements human resources solutions.Protects organization's integrity, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, in addition to adherence to GE/NBCU policies and practices.Occasionally represents the Company in internal/external labor and legal proceedings as well as local community functions.Manages client expectations, providing updates, analysis and reports in areas of responsibility.Qualifications/Requirements:QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree.Prior experience providing employee relations support, including developing and delivering communications and managing conflict.Ability to effectively comprehend and communicate verbally in Spanish.Experience facilitating and coordinating people and information.Familiarity with key HR processes, including employee surveys, performance management, diversity initiatives, and employee training and development.Familiarity with the application, interpretation and development of HR / company policies and procedures, and employment laws.Adept at utilizing technology (PC, Internet, etc.) in managing projects, issuing reports and delivering HR solutions.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSInterested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered (note job#: 795315 ).
