The Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications

The Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications for The Orchard will work with key executives to create, implement and administer all public relations, branding, collateral, and project-based initiatives for the company.  These initiatives will address a multifaceted audience, ranging from national and trade media globally, worldwide employees, and potential clients; and, encompass press announcements, conference management, collateral development and the corporate website while including creative, one-off project- and product-driven marketing programs.

Multi-tasking, problem solving and ability to stay on target for timely delivery of work are critical. Candidate must be a talented writer, proofreader and editor with a quality writing sample portfolio, impeccable attention to detail, and hands-on experience in managing, tracking, reviewing and fulfilling all collateral and press release needs.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and direct global communications message and strategy with core business leaders Communicate The Orchard’s mission, vision, values and programs both internally and externally Create all press releases, coordinate extensive review process and distribute to mediaCreate and manage all marketing collateral, including website and sales documentsProactive engagement and collaboration with all business leadersProvide marketing and PR support for programs within different departmentsCoordinate and manage external PR agency on a project by project basis Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media Secure speaking engagements for executives

Requirements:Minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing Communications with either an agency or corporationExcellent oral and written communication skills – accomplished writer for the mediaPitch development and story placement experience a mustExperience with management of outside PR agencyAbility to communicate effectively at all levels of the business (i.e., executive, legal, sales, marketing and administration)Strong understanding of music and entertainment industryKnowledge of PR requirements for public companiesMust be well organized and able to support many projects concurrently with tight deadlinesBA in Communications, Journalism or Marketing; MBA preferredPlease send a cover letter and resume to jobs@theorchard.com
