VP, Business Development

CITY: New York STATE: New YorkCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):Deal Generation: Responsible for sourcing private and public scale acquisitions, partnerships, investments and similar transactions that will contribute to NBC Universal's strategic goals and financial growth. Deal Execution: Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience in independently executing all aspects of large scale transactions, including leading project teams covering finance, tax, accounting, operational, and legal deal aspects. Strategic Planning: Independent leadership in developing NBC Universal's strategic direction and providing context and rationale for transactions recommended and pursued by Business Development. Team Leadership & Development: In addition to leading project-specific deal teams, and having responsibility for direct reports, actively contribute to leadership, coaching, and development of entire Business Development organization.Qualifications/Requirements:8+ year track record of transaction-oriented work in US or Global media, either in investment banking (VP level or higher) or a comparable corporate role. Extensive knowledge of the media landscape and strong background in dealing with US media companies in a transactional context, including some experience in operational implementation of media transactions.
