Vice President of Operations/West Region

We are seeking a Vice President of Operations, reporting to the Regional President of our Western Region, who will be responsible for the management of the Operations Department.  The VP of Operations is responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of business operations through embracing and managing to DMX Standard Operating Procedures.  The Vice President of Operations will also contribute to the success of DMX through participation in National Operational meetings determining the operational direction of the company.

In this position, you will:

. 

· Ensure all Operations departments operate efficiently, meeting both the customer’s expectation of service and the companies’ expectation of profitability. Responsibilities include Project Management, Dispatch of service technicians, Engineering, Field Operations, Premier Service Management and managing the subcontractor network.

 .

· Establish an Operations Plan in support of all DMX departments in accordance with the overall strategic plan and growth objectives of DMX to ensure the accomplishment of approved business plans.

 .

· Assistance with the attainment of budgeted goals and objectives by evaluating and servicing their operating needs.  Attainment of defined quarterly objectives as developed with the RP/GM.

 .

· Work with other regional personnel, outside resources and each operating group towards the accounts receivable objectives in accordance to the budgeted goals and objectives.

 .

· Management, training, development and evaluation of personnel in related areas in accordance to the DMX personnel policies..

· Contribute to authoring operations policies and procedures, plus training programs designed to enable staff to comply.  Monitor the compliance with these company procedures and policies, and direct the implementation of more efficient procedures to accomplish company goals.

 .

· Conduct continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (revenues, installation margins, freight cost) and provide meaningful reporting to DMX Senior Management Team in a timely and effective manner. 

 .

· Commitment to the DMX mission statement and dedication to a customer based management philosophy to ensure service excellence is provided to all DMX divisions, personnel, customers and vendors.

 .

 

Qualified Applicants will have:

· BS/BA degree in a related field

· 7 – 10 years of work experience in an operations management role

· Previous operations experience in a service environment and working with a subcontractor network

· Strong management, leadership, and communication skills

· Proven track record of taking initiative, managing to a budget and SOP’s, and meeting deadlines

 .
