EDUCATIONBS degree in Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.  MS degree would be a definite plus.

 EXPERIENCE & SKILLS3 to 5 years in a technical support environmentIn-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux), IT, networking (TCP/IP).Understanding of SAN/NAS architectureKnowledge of video domain (compression, broadcast, production environment).Excellent communication skills required to deal with major studios and post production housesDomestic and International travel required

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Relying on cutting edge technologies and state-of-the-art expertise, our Software and Technology Solutions (STS) business unit provides solutions to M&E industries through:

þ  Off-the-shelf products and systems.

þ  Licensing of software for OEM by third party manufacturers.

 

Thomson’s STS Business Unit addresses the Security, Monitoring, Processing and Distribution needs of the major studios and post production houses. In doing so, we are looking for a motivated Technical Account Manager that can bring technical experience as well as a strong focus on customer support.  In partnership with the Sales Director, you will be our “go to” expert with responsibilities for both pre-sales and post-sales dealing with:

· Hardware integration

· Customer Implementation and deployment

· Troubleshooting hardware/software problems
