CITY: Englewood Cliffs STATE: New JerseyCOUNTRY: USAEssential Functions (Responsibilities):CNBC.com is looking for talented professionals to help create a 360 degree multimedia experience for the global leader in business news. The Web Producer will be responsible for a specific CNBC program's presence on the web. The Web Producer will work alongside CNBC television producers and with CNBC Editorial and Development teams to produce high-quality, timely and innovative content that delivers against dotcom and television editorial goals. Specific Responsibilities: *Working side-by-side with CNBC on-air teams to develop strategies for producing business news reports and features on-line. * Develop and produce assigned show sites, packaging news and on-air content for publication on CNBC.com* Oversee daily coordination of breaking news and featured editorial content between on-air producers and on-line news producers onto the website. * In addition to day-to-day publishing duties, oversee long-range planning and production of relevant interactive content for the assigned show sites. * Help to develop innovative ideas and new concepts for feature story telling for the show site. Collaborate with show producers to expand the brand and content onto the web site. (i.e., extended interviews, games, and interactivity).Qualifications/Requirements:Qualifications/Requirements: *At least 5 years experience in writing, producing, and/or editing in News or Internet related field* At least 5 years experience at large online content destination, such as a major online news site or financial newspaper.*BA degreeEligibility Requirements: * Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including mornings, evenings, and/or weekends when necessary.Desired:*The ability to perform in a high-volume, multi-task/deadline oriented environment*Fluency with scheduling, spreadsheets and word processing software * Display smart news judgment and awareness of how to tell stories to both Television and Internet readers. * Strong creative writing and organizational skills. * Comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in the interactive industry. * Passionate about Internet story telling and creating the best user experience on-line, with proven experience in a creative environment. * Web production management experience is a strong plus. * Ongoing knowledge of and interest in the business world and financial news is preferred.
