A/C Maintenance Mechanic I

Description:  Trouble shoot, repair, modify, install and operate A/C units, low-temperature generation and storage systems and refrigeration systems and duct work. Interpret, diagnose and troubleshoot temperature conditioning units using electrical schematics, piping diagrams and blue prints. Compute electrical loading to affect balanced electrical control systems. Skills:  Pay Rate: $20.29/HourMandatory Qualifications:Must Possess one of the following: A heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration service engineering degree OR certificate from a trade or military school with an advanced course in air-conditioning, refrigeration and electrical control systems. Must have six years of journeyman level experience in heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration and electrical systems. Must be Proficient in troubleshooting refrigeration controls. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted. Must be capable of stooping, bending and squatting for long periods of time. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance within 18 months of hire. Desired Qualifications:General knowledge of cryogenics. Possess class "A" commercial driver's license (CDL).
