AIRCRAFT RESEARCHER

Elliott Aviation, Inc., a world class leader in the aviation industry offers an outstanding opportunity for an Aircraft Researcher to work at our Des Moines, Iowa location.

 

The principal duties of the position include the following:

 

· Call on aircraft owners, 30-50 calls per day

· Maintain and organize detailed records of aircraft owners, transactions, price, length of time I inventory, etc. on computer database

· Develop and adhere to a system for ongoing contact with owners, dealers, and other researchers both domestically and internationally

· Light administrative duties, which would include writing letters to aircraft owners and completing aircraft purchasing documentation

· Use acquired data and contacts t develop leads for Technical Services

· Use department research to spot trends and opportunities in the used aircraft market

· Accurately appraise trade-in and prospective purchase aircraft using recent market research

· Other duties as assigned

 

The qualifications for the position include:  Bachelors Degree in Aviation or Business Administration or Marketing preferred; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multi task and prioritize activities; Ability to set and achieve personal goals based on company objectives; Computer proficiency with a PC and in-depth knowledge of Windows XP, Excel, Word and Access; Exceptional telephone skills; Two or more years experience in the aviation industry; Be a self-starter who can share our company and department vision; Be a team player with the absolute best sales organization in General Aviation today.
