Apparel Production Manager
Kidrobot is looking for an Apparel Production Manager to track and direct the company's apparel production process from development though delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sourcing and establishing relationships with new vendors for knits, wovens, and sweater production in the US, South America, Mexico, Asia.
• Oversee logistical aspects of all product movements, internationally and domestically
• Analyze all business transportation needs and identify logistical/financial opportunities
• Handle daily correspondence with sourcing offices, factories, liaise with design as needed.
• Review tech packages to determine allocation of product, pre-costing, wholesale/retail estimates. Suggest more efficient development to ensure most aggressive costs within quality parameters.
• Negotiate all FOB and LDP prices, then analyze and own gross margins for both wholesale and retail divisions to meet an established budget.
• Manage inventory and track development of all trim to meet target production dates. Negotiate pricing of all trim and determine trim purchase quantity.
• Maintain and improve WIP charts to effectively communicate with all departments and to coordinate the resolution of outstanding issues, maintain weekly agendas for WIP meetings- including tracking on-time delivery and PO completion rates.
• Approve all top of production samples; establish processes to ensure that all production meets high quality standards. Coordinate quality inspections with fulfillment center.
•Directly supervise a team.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree
• 7 years minimum in sourcing and production. Technical knowledge a plus.
• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills), Mac.
• Must work well under pressure, be detail oriented, meticulous, take-charge indvidual with strong communication, analytical and computer skills.
