Application System Development Manager (IBM Websphere, Lotus Notes, Domino, MS.Net, ASP.Net) - 00IHB

The Assistant Director Software Development manages the operational activities of programming, systems analysis and software development professionals. This position requires extensive knowledge of the client area's functions and systems, application program development alternatives, and system development life cycle. Responsibilities Manage the continual upgrading of procedures and equipment to maintain currency with technological progress, economic change, and business needs. Prepare the annual budget and manage expenditures in order to operate within approved budget guidelines. Consult with clients in the analysis of short and long-range business requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing business requirements. Coordinate activities across units such as database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc. Ensure the coordination with clients so that the use and implications of the application are understood when implemented into production. Develop, recommend, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Develop procedures and coordinate application development activities across project teams. Manage the training and development of staff members to develop their skills and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in their area of responsibility. Directly and indirectly supervise staff members in the development, implementation, and support of applications to meet the client's business requirements.
