Application Developer

Purpose:
Application Developer works with Claims and Billing development team to design and implement applications utilizing Java/JSP, Adobe Flex, Web, and Oracle technologies. Self directed design and development work as well as exceptional problem solving abilities are core attributes for this position. Developer needs to understand application development life cycle methodologies including requirement analysis, application design, and program coding and testing. Additionally, developer will be responsible for resolving technical issues through proactive debugging, researching, and investigation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for design, development, testing and deployment of web based application utilizing Java/JSP, Adobe Flex, AJAX, Web Services and Oracle
• Create user interface design
• Work in cross-functional teams to develop application solutions.
• Responsible for evaluating requirements, providing LOE estimates, contributing to design proposals, and creating design documentation
• Troubleshoot data integrity and production defects
• Support, maintain and enhance production processes
• Develop/maintain technical documentation.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
• 3-5 year’s application development experience using Java, JSP, and web technologies.
• 2+ years of experience in RDBMS technologies
• Proficiency in developing in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Must be a team player
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• . Adobe Flex Development experience is preferred.
