Area Director

DESCRIPTION: Provides strategic direction and leadership for offices in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio within service industry.  Ensures offices within area achieve short- and long-term revenue growth and profitability goals.  Directs and coaches management in Company business management philosophy.  Facilitates client retention, service expansion, and delivery of quality services.  Ensures the Area’s operational and administrative management services are effective, timely and efficient. Has full profit & loss responsibility for the Area.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

1. Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service through regular contact with clients; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action as necessary.

2. Analyzes operational and financial indicators to continuously improve office performance; ensures profitable operations with full profit and loss accountability for Area.

3. Ensures offices maintain a consistent focus on high quality customer service; provides guidance and support in the retention of profitable business; reviews office audits and directs the development and implementation of corrective action.

4. Coaches and develops management; ensures offices have well qualified individuals who are properly trained to carry out the Company’s mission.

5. Directs implementation of best demonstrated industry and company practices.

6. Assists in business plan and budget development; monitors progress against short- and long-term business objectives.

7. Evaluates industry and business trends for potential impact and growth opportunities.

8. Provides direction to sales staff on business development priorities and key sales actions; assists clients in understanding full range of company products and services; negotiates client contracts.

9. Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

10.  Authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, advertising, and vehicles.

11. Implements and provides input to Company initiatives; promptly and effectively resolves legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.

12.  Works with management to ensure accounts receivable goals and expectations are met.

13. Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 or more years of experience in a field related to the service industry and/or business management, with substantial, progressively responsible experience in the service industry, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the Company.
