RESPONSIBILITIES
Ducky-Bob’s, a Classic Party Rentals Company is seeking an Assistant GM/Operations Manager to lead the development and implementation of successful sales, marketing, operations and business processes and strategies for the Carrollton, Texas location. The Assistant GM/Operations Manager has P&L responsibility and is seen as the driver of programs and initiatives to grow the business while controlling costs and improving profit margins. This management position will provide day-to-day leadership to the sales and operations teams and will oversee various departments and ensure quality service to Classic’s customers. The position demands leadership and management duties including mentoring, setting examples of professionalism, developing a positive culture and conducting performance appraisals, while ensuring the highest levels of quality and care.
The Assistant GM/Operations Manager analyzes staffing issues to assist the Director of Human Resources with recruitment, training and retention of staff. The position collaborates with the Sales Director and other senior managers to develop strategies to maximize revenue, profit growth and control manageable expenditures; makes recommendations, implements and administers cost saving strategies to meet and exceed the company’s financial goals. The ideal candidate should have an established record of success in increasingly responsible positions as an operating executive, ideally from a service-driven, customer-focused market with a propensity for growing, managing, and developing a business with entrepreneurial characteristics.
Specific responsibilities include:
§ Prepare budgets and direct management in achieving budgeted revenue and profit goals
§ Oversee the hiring and development of staff
§ Develop and implement financial, administrative and operational systems and procedures to provide required information for all operational, administrative and financial activities
§ Maintain positive and productive relationships with customers
§ Be a productive and participative member of the Classic management team
§ Maintain a full understanding of the market and the competition
§ Participate in developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures for the organization
§ Perpetuate a culture of excellence and constant process improvement
§ Hire, develop, manage and lead key managers and staff including sales, marketing, administration, inventory, warehouse (furnishings and tents), delivery & installation, and maintenance
§ Lead service-oriented organization of up to 150+ employees
§ Work closely with GM and management team to set policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation
§ Effectively run high quality, customer service focused operation in efficient, cost-effective manner
§ Constantly strive to improve the quality and efficiency of existing operations by implementing new systems or improving upon old ones
§ Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
§ Communicate policies and/or issues at department meetings
§ Budget and capital expenditure forecasting with General Manager, Director of Sales, and Inventory Manager
§ Responsible for HR policies and functions, IT management, fleet management, risk management and Classic safety programs
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL BASE
§ Demonstrated track record of success and achievement
§ 5-years of management experience in service oriented operations
§ Management and leadership role in operation with at least 150 employees
§ Successful management of P&L and meeting budget targets
§ Bachelor's Degree, MBA desirable
§ Spanish speaking is a plus

Classic will continue to grow organically and through acquisitions. Managers who demonstrate outstanding performance will be considered for promotion to the position of General Manager.
