Assistant Controller / Professional Services

 

A high-growth professional services firm is actively seeking an Assistant Controller to join our finance and accounting team. The Assistant Controller must have advanced knowledge of accounting principles, as well as strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills. Specific job duties consist of preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and providing financial analyses, maintaining the company's system of internal controls, overseeing and assisting with various accounting systems such as the general ledger, assets and investments, overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and other accounting operations, coordinating and assisting with the budget process, and organizing information and working with internal and external auditors and other company departments. In this role, you will also be coordinating and reviewing board presentations, internal management reports, as well as performing various audit functions such as verification of daily work and accounting certifications.  This position reports to the Corporate Controller. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a blend of public accounting and private enterprise experience.  2+ public and 2+ years private is preferred.  CPA required.
