Millard Mall Services is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee the housekeeping department of a high traffic retail facility in Alderwood/Lynnhaven Mall. The Assistant Project Manager will be assist the Project Manager with meeting company goals and objectives through planning, organizing, controlling organizational resources, and leading more than 40 employees. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the facility with direct interaction with staff, mall facilities, and customers.
The Assistant Project Manager is a supervisory position that demonstrates leadership and expertise in the in all phases of the janitorial business, including hiring and administration. This position requires high energy, assertiveness, creative problem solving, good judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently and to be a good leader and role model for the company.
The right person will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of a 40+ employee team, specifically to include:
Provide superior customer service to Mall Management; provide timely and courteous response to meet customers’ needs.
Hire, train, and supervise janitorial staff
Uphold company and mall standards; ensure superior quality.
Conduct safety training.
Coordinate schedules.
Maintain, track and order inventory and supplies.
We expect that candidates will have 2 years of hands-on supervisory experience in housekeeping/janitorial management. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. You must be able to demonstrate strength in managing multiple tasks, delegating, and problem solving. Good planning skills, flexibility, the ability to prioritize workloads, function with minimal supervision, and work well under pressure are critical success factors. Must be able to change priorities at a moment’s notice. Additional requirements include team spirit, positive work ethic, and the ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus.
