Shiseido Cosmetics, a global leader in skincare & cosmetics, is looking for an Assistant Manager of Finance in our New York City office for our Nars/JV divisions.
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Ensure timely closing of books on a monthly basis.Prepare and review closing, adjusting and accrual JEsPrepare monthly inventory and other BS reconciliationsReview and reconcile returns accrual and reversals. Prepare monthly sales by customer/country reportsReview royalty, demo salary, commission, override, bonus and CoAd spendAssist Shared service accounting group in research and settlement of reconciliations, old balances and outstanding issues as neededPerform variance analysis compared to budgets, forecasts and prior periods and investigate reasons/explanations/trendsPrepare reports for monthly Management meetings for both DivisionsAssist in preparation of reports for HQ reportingPrepare quarterly/periodic reports for JV licensorBe involved in audits, prepare schedules/analysis per audit PBC listsWork closely with all departments within each Division and provide financial reports and analysisParticipate in various department, division and corporate projects
Qualifications:4 year Degree in Finance/Accounting required3-4 years experience in Finance/Accounting functionExperience in Beauty/Fashion/retail industry preferredMust be very organized, detail oriented and able to work under tight timelines. Must be able to prioritize and communicate well. Expert knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of JD Edwards, Impromptu or similar ERP and financial reporting/planning tools required.
