SUMMARY: Performs general accounting and bookkeeping functions of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accounts Payable:Match Invoice(s) with Purchase Order and Receiving Document.Code Invoice(s) to proper General Ledger Account.Batch Invoices and submit for approval.Enter Invoice(s) into computer system.Prepare Accounts Payable Cash Requirements report.Process invoices for payment.Process Printing / Writing of ChecksMonthly, Quarterly and Annual Journal Entry Maintenance.
Accounts Receivable:Receive all cash receiptsPrepare tape of daily receiptsCopy all ChecksPrepare Deposit Ticket of Daily ReceiptsApply daily receipts to proper invoice(s) in computer system.
Bank Reconciliation:
· Process monthly bank reconciliations of all accounts.
Other Responsibilities:May organize and maintain office files. Any duties as assigned by management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Two (plus) years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
· Two or Four year college degree.
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel knowledge.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Responsible, dependable, and organized work habits.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: As required.
