Position Summary:The Business Continuity Planner (BC Planner) will work with and report to the Business Continuity Manager (BC Manager) to ensure the Business Continuity Program provides a framework allowing Scottrade to effectively mitigate risk to avoid a disaster and develop plans to recover from a disaster. The BC Planner will assist the BC Manager in the development, exercise, and maintenance of BC Plans. In addition to planner responsibilities, the BC Planner will play an integral role during recovery and continuity efforts. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct Business Impact Analyses Interdependency profiling between Business Units and IT applications, critical vendors, and any other business aspect Ensure Business Units are maintaining and updating its BC Plans Facilitate and coordinate internal and external BC Plan exercises to ensure the efficacy of plans Coordinate with other Business Continuity Planners to ensure IT DR Plans are maintained in accordance with BC Plan requirements Assist in the review of the Business Continuity Program to ensure the Program meets Scottrade's recovery needs Facilitate recovery and continuity efforts during and after a disaster and report to senior managementRequired Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills Strong verbal/written communications. Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business units Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates Strong understanding of Information Technology Strong understanding of Business Continuity Principals or the ability to acquire those skills through DRI training Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and presentation skillsRequired ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Business or Management, or equivalent experience required. Scottrade, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, is committed to inclusion and a diverse workforce.
