Business Development Representative - St Louis

The Business Development Representative / Account Executive is an outside, business to business sales role. The sales representative directly generates revenue by selling products and services to new and current users within an assigned territory through direct, face-to-face contact. Usually reports to a Territory Manager. The sales representative is responsible for generating annual revenues of $280 to $350 thousand.
1. Sells products and services to new customers in an assigned geographic area to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives:
-- Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine product/services needs and performs sales presentations to match company's products with identified needs.
-- Sells products through face-to-face contact.
-- Remains knowledgeable of company's products to facilitate sales efforts.
-- Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required.
2. Responsible for generating annual revenues of $280 to $350 thousand.
3. Customers include (but are not limited to) retailers, restaurants, hotels, gas stations, service companies, and any business who takes credit and debit cards as a form of payment. Customers are typically mid to regional sized. They may have multiple locations.

-- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-- 3-5 years sales or business development experience
2. Skills or Special Abilities
-- Proven success in outside sales and/or proven success in business to business (B2B) sales.
