Our Business Risk Services (BRS) practice, a specialty advisory practice within Assurance and Advisory Business Services, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational solutions that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions. BRS seeks a consummate team player with a strong work ethic and excellent professional skills for the role of BRS Manager. This professional will plan, lead and perform internal audit procedures as a member of the internal audit management team and in accordance with the client's audit plan, risk management strategy and E&Y's internal audit methodologies.ResponsibilitiesPlan, lead and perform internal audit procedures as a member of the internal audit management team and in accordance with the client's audit plan, risk management strategy and E&Y's internal audit methodologies.Manage client engagement and client expectations. Review audit work of Staff and Senior level employees. Communicate directly with the client regarding internal audit risks. Conduct performance reviews for Staff and Seniors. Work with high-growth clients and other market leaders in assigned industry sectors. Establish audit objectives and scope of work; establish the engagement budget; and take responsibility for the overall execution of the audit project through wrap-up and final report delivery.Maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel, including people management and business development. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and new pronouncements/standards relevant to the client's business. Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Work with team members to set goals and responsibilities for specific engagements. Foster teamwork and innovation.Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery.Understand E&Y and its service lines. Actively encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify potential opportunities to apply E&Y's servicesTo qualify, candidates must have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field 5 years of related audit or applicable business experience 4 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic strong skills in project management and engagement closure experience and interest in recruiting and professional development proficiency with MS Office and Lotus NotesSuccessful candidates must be available to travel as needed within and outside of the U.S. and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Second language skills and international business experience are preferred. This particular position at Ernst & Young in the United States requires the qualified candidate to be a "United States worker" as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor regulations at 20 CFR 656.3.
