Our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) practice, a specialty advisory practice within Assurance & Advisory Business Services, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational services that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance their risk management and business process functions. The Real Estate Advisory Services (REAS) group is a domain within the RAS practice, which specializes in advising clients on creating operational efficiencies and reducing operational costs and business risks. Typical clients include real estate, hospitality, and construction clients as well as the corporate real estate organizations of Fortune 500 companies. Our team of Construction professionals assists companies in determining project contract strategies, implementing cost control and capital management systems and developing and overseeing construction schedules and costs. Service offerings are classified into three categories: Strategic Service Offerings, Construction Process Offerings, and Cost Management Offerings. Strategic Service Offerings include strategic planning and project management oversight. Construction Process Offerings encompass construction program advisory services including independent program reviews, steering committee support, on-going monitoring, project management oversight, project process improvements, contract compliance evaluations and EPC project risk assessments. Cost Management Offerings include construction cost evaluations, assisting in claims avoidance and dispute resolutions to identify and reduce cost overcharges, internal audit support, construction litigation support, and cost segregation services to minimize taxes and construction cost audits. Responsibilities Demonstrate an understanding of complex construction concepts. Create work products such as detailed analyses and engagement documentation. Stay informed of emerging technical issues and current business and economic developments. Maintain a strong client focus by effectively serving client needs. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business. Deliver high-quality client service by directing the daily progress of fieldwork and informing Managers of the engagement status. Demonstrate quality control, and commitment to schedule and budgets as determined by project management. Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Support colleagues and value others' contributions. Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment. Commit to developing knowledge. Actively encourage team members to contribute ideas.To qualify, candidates must have:an undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management and/or a related Master's degree a minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate and construction industry; a minimum of 18 months of relevant experience would be acceptable for those holding a relevant graduate degree strong research, analytical, and business writing skills strong interpersonal and communication skills proficiency with Excel and Word, MS Office and Lotus Notes demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethicCPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CMA, MRICS, PMP or CCIM certification desired. Non-certified hires are required to become certified to be eligible for promotion to Manager. Certifications which have been earned towards obtaining AIA or Professional Engineer licensing are beneficial. Successful candidates must be available to travel as needed within and outside of the U.S. and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
