Location: Arlington, VAYour location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend C# Application Developer-Arlington, VA($90-95k+signing bonus+great health benefits)Hudson Highland is currently seeking a Senior C# Application Developer to work for an Arlington based association.Purpose and Mission: To provide support for our clients Website and other related applications through the following responsibilities and accountabilities: Provide technical leadership over multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while doing developmentTake ownership of problems/tasks/projects and work them through completion.Respond to and help to resolve Production issues as needed.Identify, analyze and resolve issues in a timely mannerProvide full life-cycle development including requirements analysis & documentation, design, development, testing and implementation of .NET and VB6 based applications that support business goals. Develop new and modify existing applicationsParticipate in code reviews to ensure applications support existing architecture, follow the defined framework guidelines and coding standardsApplication software analysis and integrationContribute to business area analysis and process redesign to meet organizational goalsDocumentation Requirements and Qualifications: Skills: experience in each of the areas as follows ~4 – 7 years of Web development (JavaScript, HTML, XML, C#, ASP.NET)2 – 4 years of Visual Basic development2 – 3+ years using .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET)Solid understanding of .NET architecture2 – 4 years experience with relational databases, MS SQL Server a plus1 – 2 years of MS Sharepoint, a plus1 – 2 years of MS Content Management Server, a plus1 – 2 years of MS BizTalk Server, a plusExperience developing custom reports with MS Reporting Services, a plusStrong Analytical Problem Solving/Troubleshooting skills requiredWorking knowledge of data modeling tool, Erwin is a plusKnowledge: Course work or 5+ years experience ~ Project life cycle methodologyRequirements life cycleChange management processAgile development, a plusInsurance, Healthcare & Financial Services industry knowledge a plusAbility: Demonstrated ability ~Team player and independent workerExcellent customer serviceStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong curiosity for and desire to learn new technologyAbility to multi-taskInitiative/innovativeAnalytical and Writing skillsFlexible/AdaptableTroubleshooting – Issue Resolution skillsValue Added MentalityDependable Able to perform under pressureEducation ~Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Technology or equivalent experience.
