COLLECTION REPRESENTATIVE for firm with nationwide Student Loan Contracts

JM Associates is a rapidly growing mid-size collections firm with prestigious government, commercial, and educational contracts in search of qualified Student Loan Collection Representatives who are money motivated, quick learners and driven to succeed.  Promotions to management offered to high-producing individuals who demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and product knowledge.



Job Responsibilities:

-  Effectively locate and communicate with delinquent student loan borrowers by telephone and written notification in order to obtain repayment in full or to establish acceptable payment arrangements.

-  Perform skip tracing to locate borrower.

-  Adhere to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, all bankruptcy laws (both state and federal) and FDCPA guidelines.

-  Maintain a current working knowledge of all Federal regulations as they pertain to the collection of defaulted student loans.

-  Maintain effective telephone time to ensure diligent collection efforts.

-  Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates on computer files for each placed call. 

-  Make recommendations to management to implement improved processes. 



Qualifications:

-  Previous collection experience

-  Ability to successfully work in a team environment

-  Motivated, goal oriented, driven personality required!

-  Good interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills

-  Ability to organize and prioritize workload, and multi-task

-  Basic computer skills

-  Ability to work Monday through Friday, a minimum of one late night per week (10am to 7pm), and a minimum of one Saturday (8am to 12 noon) per month.  Additional hours and days may be required
