CORPORATE TAX MANAGER

 

Our client, an internationally recognized IT and Business Consulting Services leader located in the Boston area, has a key requirement for an experienced tax professional.  Reporting to the Corporate Tax Director, the successful individual will be responsible for managing the worldwide tax accounting under FAS 109 and tax reserves under FIN 48.  This person will also work with the Tax Director on domestic / international tax planning, tax research, transfer pricing and other issues.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:  Preparation and coordination of the worldwide tax provision and reporting under FAS 109 including international and purchasing accounting aspects.Will manage the Tax Supervisor who will assist in the preparation of the worldwide tax provision.Analysis of all tax reserves under FIN 48.Develop model to efficiently calculate worldwide effective tax rate based on differing business and transactional assumptions.Proactively provide timely information regarding the impact of tax law and tax law changes.Assist with maintenance of existing transfer pricing policies and processes.Calculation of foreign tax credit.Review of Federal and state tax returns.Interface with independent auditors and outside tax advisors on tax provision related issues.Assist with due diligence on tax issues related to potential acquisitions.Tax research as needed.

Experience/Qual/Edu: CPA, MST preferred.10 plus years including mix of public accounting and private industryThorough understanding of the basic rules of FAS 109.Experience with of purchase accounting and international areas of FAS 109.  However, a strong willingness to learn and work on purchasing accounting and international areas of FAS 109 will also be considered in lieu of actual experience.Public accounting exposure with sophisticated client base preferably consisting of organizations with worldwide operations.Industry exposure preferably with multi location, publicly traded organization with international operations. 

SALARY:
$120,000 to $130,000 + Bonus
